Bacon and tomato cheesy pasta 

wp-image-798132057jpg.jpgThis is a simple and tasty dish that the whole family will love, made from ingredients most of us have in the fridge and store cupboard.


  • 4 rashers of bacon, visible fat removed then cut into small pieces
  • 1 red onion
  • 1 pepper – any colour will do
  • 2 stalks of celery
  • 2 or 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 carton passata
  • Oregano
  • Basil
  • 1 tsp sweeter
  • Cheddar cheese – using your healthy extra
  • Fry light
  • 250g Pasta

Slimming World syns per serving: 0 if using cheese as your healthy extra

Cut vegetables into small pieces and put in a frying pan or wok coated with Fry light. Once your veggies have softened slightly add your bacon.

Place your pasta into a pan of boiling water and cook as per packet instructions.

Meanwhile, once the bacon is cooked pour in the passata before adding your herbs and sweetener. Season to taste then simmer for 5 minutes.

Drain the pasta then combine with the sauce. Sprinkle cheese over, then place under a preheated grill until the cheese is melted and golden.
